Background
Rise & Thrive is a breakfast networking and fundraising event created by the Youth Services Bureau to support vulnerable youth in Ottawa. It brings together professionals from across the city around a shared belief that communities are stronger when they look after their young people.
Challenge
This was an inaugural event with no existing audience and no built-in awareness. The campaign needed to introduce Rise & Thrive from scratch, communicate why it mattered, and give busy professionals a compelling reason to show up and get involved.
Process
The approach centered on community-driven storytelling, with digital ads feeding into a dedicated landing page designed to move people from curiosity to registration. Messaging leaned into connection and shared responsibility, keeping the ask clear and the purpose front and center throughout.
Solution
The campaign delivered hopeful, inclusive messaging with a consistent tone and visuals that felt worthy of the cause. Awareness grew, registrations came in, and Rise & Thrive launched with the kind of community energy a first-year event needs to build on.
